Kaylen Deneise Purifoy is Miss P.E.A.R.L.S. Extraordinaire 2021-2022 for the P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring for Girls, Inc. organization. Kaylen is a member of the Madison/Hinds County Chapter as a 3rd-year P.E.A.R.L.S. Member. "I'm excited about my new role in this organization. I just want to make an impact, be a role model, and change lives in the process."

She is the daughter of Eddie and Shannon Purifoy of Jackson, Mississippi. She is an upcoming sophomore at Terry High School where she holds a 3.5 grade-point average. She is also a member of the Clinton Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta's Delta Gems Program. The awards that she has received that she holds close to her heart are the Sisterhood, Image, and Leadership Awards given by the P.E.A.R.L.S. Organization. She is a member of Word of Truth of Jackson, MS.

When asked what does the P.E.A.R.L.S. means to her she replied, "To me P.E.A.R.L.S means building a legacy. Becoming a P.E.A.R.L not only helps you start at achieving your goals, but they also make sure you actually finish them. You also build new bonds along the way. P.E.A.R.L.S is like family to me."
Kaylen's platform is M.O.M (Minds Opening Minds). "I am mostly looking forward to being the best role model I can be and encourage other young ladies to do what they want in life and have that mentality and drive to go get it. I am also looking forward to branching out and meeting new people as well."

Her influences are all the parents and her aunt Melody Hollins . "They are my influences because when I see them going through hard times, they never give up and anything that they want they go get it so that plays a major role on why I choose to never give up. Their sacrifices make me thrive to accomplish and live out all of my hopes, dreams, and do well in the world."

In the future, Kaylen hopes to attend Duke University and major in English. "I hope to become a defense lawyer and open my own law firm."
