 Photo Courtesy of Marissa Butler  Photo Courtesy of Marissa Butler The NBA New Orleans Pelicans had their Sixth Annual HALFTIME Spirit Extravaganza Show on Sunday, January 26, 2020 when the Pelicans hosted the Boston Celtics at 5:00 p.m. at the Smoothie King Center.
Cheerleaders of America hosted this event for the Pelicans to provide a fun, memorable experience, and for cheer/dance/pom and drill team squads in Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi to have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of 18,000+ cheering Pelican fans. P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring for Girls, Inc. Members Rarkatlyn Randle and Breanna Washington performed along the highly talented and recognized Holmes County Central High School Cheerleading Squad. "They came to perform but left with a memorable cultural experience," says Asst. Coach Marissa Butler. The Pelicans went on to beat the Celtics 123-108. |
