P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring for Girls is a 501(c) 3 non-profit that provides mentoring for girls between the ages of 10 and 18 in the Mississippi Delta, a severely underserved region of the United States. We provide resources so that our girls can overcome obstacles heaped on them by society merely due to their zip code. Challenges related to poverty, education, training and health care just to name a few.
Through our P.E.A.R.L.S. Empowerment Project we hope to provide support and training for our girls to achieve their goals. Areas of concentration include but are not limited to promoting positive self-image, establishing leadership skills, exploring college and career readiness, work-force development, financial literacy and community service. What can your donation do?
$50 will provide workshops, guest speakers, and activities that focus on relevant topics.
$75 will provide college tours and field trips that will enrich and expand their knowledge beyond their limited experiences and environment. $100 will provide CPR Training and Certifications for all participants. $150 will support a book scholarship for alumnae enrolled in higher learning institutions. It is our hope that through our efforts in the P.E.A.R.L.S. Empowerment Project will propel our girls to break generational curses and work toward personal success. As a result, they can be a catalyst for others to follow their example. |
