P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring for Girls, Inc. announced in a press release that Maya Dezell will serve as its Head Mentor in our Hinds/Rankin Chapter Area. Dezell first joined the P.E.A.R.L.S. family in December of 2016. She is a graduate of Alcorn State University where she received her B.S. in Psychology. She is also a graduate of Jackson State University where she received her M.S. in Rehab Counseling. When Maya was asked about her feelings about her new role she replied,"I am excited about making a difference in these young girls lives. I’m also excited to take on this new position and challenge myself to be a better person and to help make this organization better and even more greater than it already has shown to be . This mentoring program has brought me so much knowledge about myself and others . I’m ready to Change Lives, One PEARL at a Time for this upcoming year!"
