Welcome Our New Miss P.E.A.R.L.S. Extraordinaire Advisor, Kristy Johnson, to our P.E.A.R.L.S. Family

​P.E.A.R.L.S. Mentoring for Girls, Inc. welcomes Kristy Johnson to our P.E.A.R.L.S. Family. She will serve as our Miss P.E.A.R.L.S. Extraordinaire Advisor.

Executive Director.

Kristy Johnson is a resident of Madison, Mississippi. She is the former Miss Black Mississippi USA 2017 for the Miss Black USA scholarship pageant system. As a titleholder, she represented the state as an ambassador by hosting over 100 community engagements and partnerships with various nonprofit organizations. To date, Kristy has since started a pageant consulting business, Krowned by Kristy, that prepares women of all ages to fulfill their dreams within the pageant industry. While sharing her wealth of knowledge in pageantry, she is also a motivational speaker, panelist, judge and host for community events throughout the state of Mississippi.

On January 20,2020, Kristy began her journey as a podcaster with her show, EmpowHER Podcast with Krississippi. The purpose of EmpowHER podcast is to allow listeners from all over the country to be inspired by the interviewers on her show that is premiered weekly on Apple Podcast, Google, Spotify and all of your favorite podcast apps. Kristy enjoys inspiring others to love and become a greater version of themselves.

Professionally, she is currently employed as a Prevention Specialist for Dr. Arenia C. Mallory Community Health Center in Lexington,Mississippi. As a Prevention Specialist, Kristy speaks to the community, specifically the youth about the effects of use/misuse of alcohol, prescription drugs, tobacco and other illicit drugs. She is actively involved in the National Alliance on Mental Illness, American Counseling Association and the founder of her own nonprofit organization, Kommunity Builders. Kommunity Builders is an organization that promotes mental health awareness, social justice concerns and empowerment to the youth in the Southeastern part of this great state.

When Kristy was asked about her feelings about her new role she replied,"It is a honor to be the official Royal Court Advisor for Miss PEARLS Extraordinaire. I look forward working with the new Queen and her court."

In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, meditation,watching movies on Netflix and Hulu, shopping and spending time with family and friends.
